This project is proof, that everything can be opportunity and nothing absolutely must be a burden. With most people, when they have a next door neighbour from hell — getting creative is usually not the first thing that comes to mind. Good thing we aren’t most people.
The next door pain in the ass whom we refer to as “Fence Witch“, among other unpleasantries; would always be starring at us, yelling obscenities at us and even taking photographs of the little girl we have living here, named Katie. As a part of the measures we had to take to mitigate the problem, we elected to put our creativity to work and design a very flowerful privacy barrier. Seeing as we love flowers and she hates them, this worked out all the better.
We will have plenty of video of the construction of the Flower Vine Canopy, as soon as we can make it available. In the mean time, the slide show above shows some photos, which are screen grabs directly out of the video itself, so you can get a basic idea of what we’ve been up to.
You may browse this photo gallery on deviantART if you wish to.
If you noticed the photos of the brooms rising up off the top of the vine canopy, I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to figure out why we put those there. In December of 2012, we received an early Christmas Present — FENCE WITCH GOT EVICTED! So, we’ve been enjoying quite a bit of peace! Our celebration video, which includes footage of the moving truck being loaded up, may be watched below, if you so desire to.
As soon as we can manage it, we will provide a step-by-step video of the process of building the vine canopy so that if you want to build one for your garden, you can go right ahead and do so!
Thank you for your patience and we hope you enjoy the photos in the mean time!
